Blood for the Blood God, Khorne for the Khorne Cob

When someone starts a slow grow campaign I try to think what is an army that is going to be unique and vastly different. There are the poster boy space marines but which chapter? Someone is bound to do gun line Tau or Astra Militarium. What can be just fun and gimmicky?


So I started this Khorne Daemons army around one key idea. That my leader would be called Matt Daemon (Second in command is Jason Khorne).



This army feels like charging across no mans land at the sound of a whistle only to watch them get mowed down. Sure its depressing to watch them get blasted but it's also very satisfying when they get stuck in. I knew Tyranids were potent in close combat but these guys....


It's always a quick game with these guys though. Get wrecked by shooting, be glass cannon in combat then tabled end of turn 2. I do have plenty of fun with them though and have even tried them in Kill Team which was amusing.


The army comprises of 2 boxes worth of start collecting Khorne Daemons, a Daemon Prince, Furies from the Warcry range, Khorne hounds and a Soul Grinder and Bloodthirster in progress.


These guys were made before my Grey Knight Kill Team and were the inspiration for the GK bases being so similar. Like they fight each other on the same warp infested planet.
